The EPEVER DuoRacer MPPT type solar controller is a 20 Amp solar controller ideally suited for motor homes because it takes care of both the start and the leisure batteries. This unit will charge Battery 1 (the house battery) just like the traditional EPEVER MPPT controllers but trickle charge Battery 2 (the start battery) at 1 amp constant current, it will stop charging Battery 2 once it reaches full voltage, and then focus on Battery 1. It is lithium capable.
The new-look shape of the controller is appealing with the connection terminals now hidden behind a cover plate, this makes the wiring look so much tidier. This controller comes with a display, which tells you what the voltages are at the panel and at the battery. This indicates amps being used and amps being produced.


MPPT (or Maximum Power Point Tracking) is currently, as far as we know, the most efficient type of solar controller and performs better in all environmental conditions.

Minimum Requirements

  • Recommended cable diameter from the solar panel should be no less than 4mm2
  • The solar controllers should always be fitted in a dust-free, dry environment.
  • Run loads from the load terminals on the right of the solar controller, unless the draw is greater than 20 Amp. That way you can monitor how much energy you are using
