12 or 24 volt electrical wiring

RV wiring systems can be very complex, it is a combination of 12-volt or sometimes 24 volt DC, and a 240 AC supply, sometimes charged by a solar system which might be 48 volt.

Almost certainly connected to 2 separate battery systems, one of which is the start battery, add to that the new lithium battery types that have a very different charge criteria.

Some of the appliances and switch boards are connected to the 12 volt or 24 volt start battery, the 13 volt lithium house battery which behaves very differently to lead acid batteries, the 240 volt mains which is connected to both these 2 different types of battery, then we have LPG gas appliances and water pumps. The technician must have a good understand of how all these systems interact with each other

We often have to deal with problems created by so called experts prior to coming to us, and the cost of finding a problem created by someone else, can become expensive because they may have tried to hide it. Sometimes it is better to leave things to the technicians who do it on a daily basis.
