Heavy duty cross rails are supplied separately and can be added to the existing side rails, in theory you could add them at 100mm intervals making the rack incredibly strong. Most motorhomes only need a front a middle and a rear heavy duty rail, and then you could fit light weight rails in between if required. If you are fitting an awning to the side of the roof rack then you will require at least 3 heavy duty rails as well.
